چکیده
The effect law of deformation and failure a jointed rock mass is essential for underground engineering safety stability evaluation. In order to study the evolution mechanism precursory characteristics instability masses, uniaxial compression acoustic emission (AE) tests are conducted on sandstones with different joint dip angles. To simulate mechanical behavior rock, damage constitutive model AE characteristic parameters created based mechanics theory taking into account structure load coupling. quantify instability, cusp catastrophe theory. results indicate that when angle increases from 0° 90°, sandstone shifts tensile shear, 45° being critical mode. Sandstone's compressive strength reduces initially subsequently increases, resulting in U-shaped distribution. developed model's theoretical curve closely matches test curve, indicating can reasonably describe sandstone. has high forecast accuracy, combined model, prediction accuracy be increased further. research provide guidance evaluation engineering.

Study of the Frictional Surface Damage Using Acoustic Emission Method
In this study, the change at rubbing surfaces has been investigated experimentally using an acoustic emission signal monitoring system. A steel ring is slipped on the surface of a metallic sheet to simulate frictional conditions. The mechanical disturbances caused by the movement of the ring produce stress waves propagating along the sheet surface. The out of plane displacement of the sheet su...

A series of tests have been conducted to investigate fatigue damage characterization in corroded welded steel plates using structural health monitoring (SHM) techniques. Acoustic Emission (AE) is a non-destructive testing (NDT) technique with potential applications for locating and monitoring fatigue cracks in service. In the present work, AE is implemented to characterize damage during crack e...

During the flood development in an oil field, the creep characteristic of mudstone is one of the important factors causing casing damage. In this study, based on the theory of fractional order differential and taking into account the creep damage evolution rules, a fractional nonlinear creep-damage model is proposed to reflect the instantaneous deformation in loading processes and the accelerat...
متن کاملAcoustic emission beamforming for enhanced damage detection
As civil infrastructure ages, the early detection of damage in a structure becomes increasingly important for both life safety and economic reasons. This paper describes the analysis procedures used for beamforming acoustic emission techniques as well as the promising results of preliminary experimental tests on a concrete bridge deck. The method of acoustic emission offers a tool for detecting...
